A Color Image Watermarking Algorithm Based on Error Correcting Code and Wavelet Transform

Abstract:In order to improve the robustness of digital watermarking and decrease the error during transmission,the application of error correction code to digital watermarking is investigated,and the color image watermarking algorithm based on BCH code(Hamming code) and wavelet transform is proposed.The algorithm embeds and retrieves the watermarking into and out of the color image by exploiting the BCH code(or Hamming code) which has performance of correcting error and utilizing chaos modulation.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has good invisibility performance and can resist many kinds of attacks.The robustness of the proposed algorithm is superior to the identical algorithm without adopting error correcting code.The algorithm based on BCH code is better than that based on Hamming code.
